About

A fanlisting is a place where fans of a certain subject can be listed to show their interest, get acquainted with other fans, and many other things.

Beverly Cleary started writing in the 50s for children who couldn't find books that would hold their interest. She started with Henry Huggins and his dog Ribsy, and moved on to create more, a few of which are Otis Spofford, Ellen Tebbits, Ralph S. Mouse, and Ramona Quimby, her most popular character.

As a child, her mother once told her, "The best writing is simple writing. And try to write something funny. People enjoy reading anything that makes them laugh." That advice proved to be the most influential in Cleary's stories.
